Rosalind Martha Malcolm, 91 (Nabe); with loving family by her side, our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed peacefully on January 22, 2025, at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Mom was born on November 30, 1933. She was raised on a small farm near Togo, Saskatchewan, along with her brothers and sisters. After she graduated from high school, Mom worked hard to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher. Following graduation from Teachers’ College, Mom relocated to Swan River, Manitoba, to begin her teaching career. It was during this time that she met our father Keith and they were married in 1955. Keith and Rosalind settled in Elkhorn, Manitoba where both continued their passion for teaching. In 1965, with four children in tow, Rosalind and Keith moved to Kingston, Jamaica for three years, followed by another adventure to Mpwapwa, Tanzania for two years. In 1970, Rosalind and Keith and returned to Canada and moved to Starbuck, Manitoba, where Rosalind eventually resumed her teaching career, teaching Kindergarten, which lead her to Special Education, as a Resource Teacher. Mom retired in Starbuck where she and Dad continued their very active life, enjoying many dinners with friends, devoting special time remembered by their grandchildren, reading, curling, participating in many community organizations, sharing a love of God through the church and music, especially the choir at the Trinity Lutheran Church, and sharing their great passion of flowers and gardening. Rosalind and Keith spent many years travelling and dancing, in warmer climates, with a group of wonderful friends.
Mom will be missed by her son John (Leslie) - Travis (Lindsay) and Jason (Marlo), son Dwight (Bonnie) - Brent (Andrea) and Stephanie (Scott), daughter Laurie (John) - Cara, Jenna (Andrew), and Niki (Tim), and son Dale (Erin) - Genevieve, Rachel (Mike), Rebecca (Chris), Grace and Bridget. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Nevea, Dane, Shay, Callum, Lyla, Aiden, Mila, and Julian. Mom will also be missed by numerous surviving family members.
As Mom wished, a private family interment will be scheduled at a later date.

Our sincere sympathy to the Malcolm Family! Your Dad and Mom were very special to us as neighbors, friends and being teachers to our daughters Buffie and Tammie. Your mom and I both shared the love of gardening especially flowers. We missed them dearly when they moved to the city. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you all. Deepest sympathy to all the family. Rosalind was quite a gal. I have such wonderful memories of our times together whether it be travelling,, curling, or evening get togethers with friends. I especially enjoyed hearing stories of the many family adventures when they lived in Jamaica and Tasmania. She enriched my life. Thanks, Rosalind.
