Harvey Franklin Osiowy died peacefully on January 23, 2025 at the age of 74.
Son of Harry and Ruth Osiowy, Harvey grew up in Sunnyside, Manitoba alongside his brother, Lawrence. Harvey’s sensitive, caring nature, love of 4-H and “girls” was enough to capture the heart of local sweetheart, Theresa Sontag (Terry), whom he married and shared many adventures.
Harvey and Terry enjoyed mucking about in nature while camping or travelling the world together. Seeing opportunities, rather than limits, they would carry their indestructible backpacks and set off to see the world. Once their son, Eric, was born they just packed him up and took him along!
Harvey made friends whereever he went with his friendly and warm attitude. His charm and genuine caring for others served him well in his career in sales, where he continuously strove to meet the needs of his clients.
After Terry passed away, Harvey found Sharon Bernstein as a partner to share his passions. Their extensive, well-tended garden and Harvey’s delicious cooking were enjoyed by all those fortunate to be within their social circle.
After Sharon passed, Harvey connected with his community by volunteering at the Legion and Oasis Church. He always thrived as a giver, providing for and serving those around him. His grandchildren certainly benefited from this generosity, receiving gifts for any occasion Harvey could come up with!
Harvey is survived by his son, Eric (Jen) and granddaughters, Kate, Annette and Isabel. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Heather Pearson (Tony) and Jaime Bernstein (Wade) and grandchildren, Sara and Ben.
A memorial service has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Siloam Mission. Harvey was a faithful supporter of Siloam Mission for many years.

Harvey passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Oasis Church, 940 Elmhurst Rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Siloam Mission.
