With her family by her side, Maria passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26 at the age of 87.
Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Joao. She will be sadly missed by her children, Lina, Vilma, Manny and their families.
The Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Parish (320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg) at 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Viewing will be prior to service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. I will always remember her kindness and warm heart. Going to her house when I was going to Sargent Park school, visits with my family, it was always a welcoming smile and hug and food. Her laughter and warmth is what I will remember forever.
