BETTY-JEAN DESROCHERS

November 17, 1960 - January 31, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty-Jean on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the age of 64, supported by her devoted and loving husband Brian of 47 years, after a very admirable and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Russell, to her loving parents Keith and Marlene Robins. Betty Jean was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She was the only daughter with 2 brothers.

Betty-Jeans’ passions included gardening, wood working, painting, making Bee gifts for Cancer Care patients, camping at the lake with their lake family and spending time outside with their beloved dog Otis. She cherished the beauty of nature and shared her love of the great outdoors with family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Brian Desrochers; daughters Dee-Anna (Gerald) Unrau, Robin (Robert) Woodfield; along with her grandchildren Christopher, Caleb, Rae-Lynn & (Aidan), Joseph, Tyrell, & Kamin. Also, her fur children Otis and Rocket.

She was predeceased by her brother, Terry Robins in 2019, sisters-in-law, Julie Desrochers in 2019 and Linda Marginet in 2022.

Left to mourn her passing are her parents Keith and Marlene Robins; brother Ron (Susan Brodie); sister-in-law Wendy Robins; in-laws, Shirley (Wayne) Delichte, Denis (Ginette) Desrochers, David Marginet, Barbara (John) Godard, Barry & (Sheila) Desrochers, many nieces and nephews, many friends and lake family.

Appreciation to all who supported Betty-Jean during her battle at the Western Manitoba Cancer Center, Dr. Kristjanson, Dr. Hunter and their nursing staff. Special thanks to Sharla Bourchard for always making our family feel so loved while awaiting treatments.
