Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE FRIESEN
Unexpectedly, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Friesen in the wee hours on December 19, 2024, at the age of 94 at the Grace Hospital.
Left to mourn his passing are his three children Veronica (Jim), Richard, and Darlene Drystek and his special love Pearl Cyncora. She was his only light in the darkness of the care home. Included are his remaining family of brothers Jim and Albert (Eva) Friesen and cousin Danny (Della) Friesen. Lawrence also leaves many nieces and nephews, many still living in and around Steinbach, Manitoba.
He was predeceased by his parents Abram and Mary Friesen and three sisters, Rose Plett, Ester Plett and Alvina McGregor. He also was predeceased by first wife Stella (nee Kowal) and second wife Marlene Patkau.
We would like to thank the union for all that they have done for Dad and the family to help us in our hour of need. We would also give thanks to the St. Josephat Villa, especially the management who put a roof over his head and kept him safe during a time of trial late in his life. This will not be forgotten.
All family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Green Acres Funeral Home.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the Passing of Lawrence, I knew him for at least 40 years as a co-worker and his Union Representative. He was an excellent welder and a proud member of the United Association Local Union 254. Gerry Bentley - Posted by: Gerald Bentley (Friend and Union Brother) on: Feb 08, 2025
