ANGELINE (ANGIE) MARIE POPOWICH

January 14, 1930 - February 8, 2025

Angie was predeceased by her devoted husband George in 2009. Left behind are her daughter Wendy (Lyle) and son Alan, grandchildren, Jamie (Dayna), Dean (Jennifer), Tana (Ryan) and eight great-grandchildren.

She was born and raised on a family farm near Meleb, Manitoba. After coming to the city and marrying, Angie worked in retail sales, clerical work and family businesses as well as keeping a home and raising her family. In her younger years she enjoyed and excelled at bowling. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family. After retirement, she took pride and satisfaction from her 20 years of volunteer work at CancerCare Manitoba.

We would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their compassionate care of mom during the last months of her life.

Angie did not want a memorial service so we will honour that request.

FRAN AND I ENJOYED HAVING YOUR MOM AND DAD AS ACROSS THE STREET NEIGHBORS IN TRANSCONA ESPECIALLY SOME OF THE EVENING CARD GAMES. THEY FONDLY RELATED THEIR ENJOYMENT OF THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN THE SQUARE DANCING CLUB.
