ERIC BERGMANN

1948 - 2025

Deeply loved and cherished, Eric Bergmann peacefully went to be with his Heavenly Father and Saviour on February 8, 2025.

Eric loved farming and nature with a deep appreciation for God’s creation. His faith was a cornerstone to his life, and he thrived when it came to his family, working selflessly to provide for them and lend a helping hand.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 22, 2025, Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 2405 Mcgillivray Blvd, Winnipeg.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Thinking of and praying for you as you mourn the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. What a wonderful legacy that Eric has bestowed upon all of you, his family. I can still recall his powerful and commanding singing on Sunday mornings. May the cherished memories you have carry you through this time of grieving, memories that make it evident that he truly loved his family, loved all of nature and above all loved his God. - Posted by: Angela A (attended WRBC) on: Feb 23, 2025

  • Our prayers are with Lorraine and the Bergmann family. May God embrace you with His peace and comfort. The first time I met Eric was at the WRBC's Men's Breakfast 28 years ago. I got to know him a bit more when we sang in the WRBC choir together for 9 years. Because my wife Carolyn was a member of Lorriaine's Joyful Noise ladies singing group we were invited to their home many times for lunch and dinner. What impressed me the most are not just their hospitality and friendliness, but also Eric's deep love of God and commitment of serving Him in the church and being a strong leader in his family. The last time I saw Eric was at the GMBC's Christmas concert in 2023. I would certainly miss his smiles, his voice and his true love shown to all of us. Knowing he is now embraced in Jesus' arms, no more pain and suffering, is indeed a great joy and peace only experienced in Heaven. And when that day comes we will meet and praise God again up there in eternity. Feb 21/2025 - Posted by: Carolyn & Stanley Siu (Church friends) on: Feb 21, 2025
