  • Harold was a godsend - Posted by: Joyce Lancaster (client) on: Jul 26, 2025

  • I met Harold while volunteering at Winnipeg Harvest. He was there for me during my life struggles and would take the time to give me support and valuable wisdom & advice to keep going forward... "Don't Give Up" as he would say. During that time...I was also homeless. Harold assisted me in connecting with EIA so I could get a place to live in. EIA was very challenging, however, Harold would support me until I could get some funds to get a place & food. He will be missed and my sincere condolences to his family. Harold you are flying high with the 🦅 Eagles now. Rest in Peace. Much Respect...Mary L. L. Graham (Friend) - Posted by: Mary L. L. Graham (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2025

  • I am so very saddened to hear of Harold's passing. On many occasions I would stop by Harold's office on Vaughn to get some advice on how to best help someone experiencing challenges navigating social systems, particularly the EIA and housing programs. Harold "educated" many ,including myself by delivering the "Low Income Intermediary Project Advocacy Training Program" to community members. He was a wealth of knowledge and always made time for those in need. He worked tirelessly, advocating for those struggling with poverty in the community. The only thing that would pull Harold away from his work would be to share photos of his grandbaby......he was a very proud dad and grandpa!!! Harold was a true gift to his community and will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Beverly McIntyre (acquaintance) on: Feb 20, 2025

  • I got to know Harold when I was working in addictions, he was instrumental in insuring that those who had addictions, received funding for treatment and disability benefits when appropriate. His work will be missed. May his memory be a blessing, and let us work on his goals of ending poverty. - Posted by: LéAmber Kensley (Friend) on: Feb 18, 2025

  • Marlene - Please accept our deepest condolences in the loss of your brother. - Posted by: Murray and Yvette Bourke (Friends) on: Feb 16, 2025

  • My condolences to Marlene and Leonard on the passing of your brother Harold. From the many years growing up on the powerline, our families lives were intertwined with our parents being great friends, and us kids just hanging out as kids did in the 70s. I have not seen Harold for many years but it’s obvious that he maintained his commitment to the causes he believed in and left his mark. I’m sorry that I’m out of town and unable to attend the service but know that I am thinking of you. Shelley Morris - Posted by: Shelley Morris (Family friend) on: Feb 15, 2025

  • Harold came to present to my social work class. Winnipeg’s social justice sphere has lost a strong and passionate advocate who held a wealth of knowledge and dedicated his life to supporting those who are less fortunate. RIP. - Posted by: Maria (Student) on: Feb 15, 2025
