Evelyn had a softness to her that lit up a room boldly! Her smile: unforgettable! She was a fierce competitor on the volleyball court but would giggle a little when she had just done something outstanding - because she truly was having fun taking her talent to the highest level. I will always remember the SMILE and her big eyes - taking in life and learning/growing... soaking in life. This beautiful world (more beautiful with evelyn in it) is shattered, messy, and full of heartache... evelyn would want us to hold tight to: HOPE! Prayers for everyone whose hearts are feeling this tragic loss. John 16:33 - Posted by: Saralyn Stel (Volleyball Teammate at TWU) on: Feb 20, 2025

I met Evelyn when she started playing volleyball for CMU, she was hard to miss on the court with her dominance. What stood for me was more than what happened on the court, it was her integrity both on and off of it. She always carried herself with a humble strength, and respect for those around her. I have fond memories of those years, she was always an incredible advocate too. Sending my condolences to her family. I unfortunately cannot make it to the funeral, but my heart is there! - Posted by: Paul Peters (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2025

I first met Evelyn when I worked with her at Golf Manitoba. I was always a shy person and I just remember how she instantly put me at ease, she was always so friendly and went out of her way to make everyone feel important and special. She could light up a room and always made the work day go by so quickly with her sense of humor, her stories of playing volleyball abroad and her general interest in whoever she was talking to. My sincere condolences to her family during this time, she was a very special person who will be missed. - Posted by: Megan (Friend) on: Feb 17, 2025
