Mary Patricia Warren (Nankivell) passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Hillcrest Personal Care Home.
Mary was born August 23, 1934, at Arrow River, MB. She was one of seven born to William and Eileen Nankivell. Most of her childhood years were spent in the Crandall area.
Mary married Frank Warren on February 12, 1953. She spent most of her life in the service industry starting at Eaton’s with the majority of her working career at Brandon General Hospital main floor coffee shop. She considered that the best part of her life as she loved all the interaction with hospital staff and visitors. Anything dealing with dancing and music you could find Mary. She also enjoyed following any sports on TV and followed the Wheat Kings. Socializing was a big part of mum’s life, fall suppers, happy hours and cards just to mention a few. Mary enjoyed many summers at Clear Lake in the old campground where many memories were made with family and friends.
Mary is survived by daughter Shirley (late Robert Durnin); sons Russell (Dawn), Rob (Vi), Tim (Susan); grandchildren Kim (Kyle), Lindsay (Lance), Adam, Tyler, Kyle, Derek (Lisa), Justin, Jennifer (Mark), Lindsay (Mike), Mitch (Shaundra), Matt (Alyssia); great-grandchildren Kohen, Kovi, Mila, Jack, Cole, Ben, McKinley, Baylor, Myers, Victoria, Alex, Vaila, Lachlan, Jo-Jo and Roman.
Family was everything to Mary. Predeceased by husband, Frank; sister Lena Lawrence; brothers, Edwin, Lawrence, Cliff, Stan and Dennis.
Mary’s family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hillcrest and the 4th floor BGH.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, Brandon, MB on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations to charity of choice.
