Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARY KENNETH PETERS
Sadly, on February 15, 2025, our family lost a father, brother, beloved uncle, and friend. After a short stay at St. Boniface Hospital, Gary Kenneth Peters passed silently while at rest with his family by his side.
Gary was born on April 1, 1944 at Ripe Crossing, England midst the Second World War.
He is survived by his two sons, Ken and Todd; his brother Richard (Sandy); his sister Deb (Johnny); nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Betty and Ken Peters; his brother Bob; his sister Sue; his nephew Michael; and his beloved grandson Kevin.
Gary grew up in East Elmwood and graduated from Tec Voc High School prior to a three year tour as a Royal Canadian Navy cook.
Gary enjoyed a career in management with Canada Post in Winnipeg and Ottawa. He took advantage of early retirement, where he turned his attention to his love of golf, travelling south for the winter with friends.
His other passions were model railroading, bridge/cards and time spent with family and friends at the lake.
Thank you to the staff at St. B for their kindness and comfort towards Gary.
A Photo Biography honouring Gary's life will be accessible through the 'tributes' link below at a later date.

I will always remember Gary for the compassion he showed my elderly father when he joined the golf group that went south one winter. He helped my Dad at a time (my mother had passed) when he needed a friend. - Posted by: Hazel Melnick (friend) on: Feb 22, 2025
