  • I met Charlie many years ago when he lived across the street from my husband at the time… The most important thing I can remember is you were a good man Charlie and that means something ~ - Posted by: Janet Hatton (Friend) on: Feb 24, 2025

  • I am very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. Charlie and I worked together in Pauingassi between 1984 and 1986. By many, if not most, in the community I was called Moe Bandy because it was thought by some in the community that I resembled that singer in appearance. Charlie was a teacher and later became the school principal. Other than the days during school, Charlie and I fished together, played weekly volleyball with school staff and community members, and we socialized outside of school hours. Charlie was proud of Pauingassi School. He organized school barbecues. Charlie was instrumental in helping to organize a charity to fly in before Christmas to donate skates and other items for the school children. I recall that he spent hours upon hours meticulously painting a large eagle in the gym, hence the Pauingassi Eagles. I don't know if Pauingassi School sports teams are still called that. Dorothy, I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family at this sad time. H. Hoffmann - Posted by: H. Hoffmann (Former colleague) on: Feb 22, 2025
