Peacefully, Fred passed away February 13, 2025, at the Fred Douglas Lodge in Winnipeg.
A full obituary will follow to include details of a Celebration of Life.

Fred was an athletic man, who enjoyed Swimming, Bowling, and Baseball. He worked at CN for many years, he started at age 14. He enjoyed being with people, having a good conversation and stories to tell. He was not a cook. He enjoyed going to a Church Service and enjoyed a good home cooked meal. He enjoyed a good lunch at the Casino. He enjoyed giving his neighbors in his apartment, rides. His stories will be missed by many, he was quite the character. Sunset House, was his home for many years and made many lasting friendships there.
