SYLVESTER MICHEAL STADNYK

(CHEEVY)

December 30, 1937 - March 12, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Sylvester Stadnyk. Dad passed away peacefully on March 12 at the age of 87, at the Health Sciences Centre.

Our father was the hardest working man that we've ever known and would do anything for anyone. He loved to joke and make people laugh. Dad was born in Vita, MB where he stayed living until his death. He farmed, as well as worked off the farm over the years, until his retirement. Dad loved gardening, his garden was his pride and joy. He was so happy to grow a huge garden, even though he was alone and didn't need most of what he grew, but he got great joy out of sharing his labour of love with anyone he could. He loved having his kids and grandkids close by as well, teaching them all he knew about hunting, trapping, fishing, and so much more. Dad also loved all animals, there was no animal he would not bring in for a treat, even if it was a rooster that attacked everyone else.

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Anna Stadnyk, one son Richard Charette, one brother William Stadnyk, and one sister Katherine Stadnyk. He is survived by two children, Chris Stadnyk, Tracy (Mark) Bergen, 12 grandchildren and six great-grand-children. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and their families.

The family would like to thank the Vita EMS, as well as the wonderful staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their incredible care the short time dad was there.
