With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Maureen Ingibjorg White, who peacefully left us on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. After an evening filled with laughter, heartfelt tears, and treasured memories, Mom gently said her goodbyes. With her two sons by her side, she peacefully fell asleep, only to awaken in the loving arms of her devoted husband Jim once more.
Mom's warmth, grace, and love touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
A full obituary will follow.

I will certainly miss Maureen and already miss Jim. They were such good neighbours. Maureen and I would always see each other outside and have our chats and sometimes we would even chat from our doors. I couldn't have asked for better neighbours and will miss them. My condolences to the family. Wishing you all the best Maureen Pluta and family! - Posted by: Maureen Pluta (Next door neighbour!) on: Apr 11, 2025

My heart was broken when I found out about your Mother's passing. We were friends since Elementary School onto High school and ended up working together at Royal Insurance. We shared so many fun filled times. Always joking & laughing and in our later years talked about all the innocent fun we had together. When she met Jim it was easy to see that she was in Love and eventually married. We stood up for each other when we got married and stayed lifelong friends. I will always treasure her friendship and will miss her. She was Beautiful, full of Fun - Posted by: Lois Chartier (Friend) on: Mar 29, 2025

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your wonderful mother. Our memories of her will always be of her smiling face and her wonderful gift of laughter. Murray had the pleasure of knowing her as he was growing up but she soon became special to all of us. Her and Jim were such a great couple and their loss will be felt by many. We feel very blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing them both. - Posted by: Murray and Margaret Jones (Family friends) on: Mar 25, 2025

We met Jim and Maureen 20 years ago at RCB Resort and Country Club. We got together and enjoyed visiting each other. Had good times. We missed them when they no longer came down. Both of them were wonderful people. So sorry to hear Maureen passed away. Her sons and grandchildren will miss her. - Posted by: Susan and Warren Hiller (Friends) on: Mar 25, 2025

My deepest condolences on your loss. I met your mother through your father who taught at St James Collegiate at the same time as I did. I also knew your mother when she worked at the Safeway on Kenaston and Lindenwoods East when she worked in the Health Foods section in that store. I am truly sorry for your loss. I worked with Maureen many years ago at the Royal Insurance and Maureen and Jim lived down the hall from us on St. Anthony Avenue. I became good friends with Maureen and we would either ride the bus together or ride in a friend's little car to and from work. When Maureen and Jim moved to a home off of Grant Avenue my husband and I would visit and had lots of laughs. Your dear mother was always laughing. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful fun and caring woman. Sincerely - Bonnie Dyson. - Posted by: Bonnie Dyson (nee Beck) (old friend, co-worker and neighbour) on: Mar 22, 2025
