GLORIA MARIAN FENSKE

(nee MORDEN)

With great sadness we announce the passing of Gloria Fenske, who left this world peacefully on March 18th shortly after celebrating her 80th birthday.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of many. Gloria was born in Winnipeg and lived in Charleswood, Westwood, and Tuxedo. She spent summers with family at Jessica Lake in the Whiteshell and then after retirement she wintered in Victoria, BC. With a love for painting, flowers, decorating, and crafts, Gloria brought beauty into every space. Her innate sense of style and creativity made everything she created truly special.

She is survived by her husband, Kingsley Fenske, her children Glenn Kemp (Laura), Blair Kemp, Mary Fenske, her grandchildren Ashleigh and Tristian Kemp, her sister Marjorie Morden, her niece Barri-Ann Houston (Wes), and her great-nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely. She now rests alongside her loved ones that went before her, parents, Laura and Barry Morden, and niece Amber Jenken.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Family and friends are invited to share stories, memories, and love in her honour.

Flowers welcome or if preferred, donations can be made to the Dream Factory in Gloria’s memory.

We will love you always.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Gloria will be missed by her family as well as friends from Florist Suppy, I will always remember the help she was to me as a novice in the flower industry. My friend,(her son )Blair ,was also a great help as I struggled to establish into the flower industry. Good bye Gloria, ...until we meet again in the Great Garden! • Gloria was a wonderful person and I have fond memories of working with Gloria. She taught me so much about flowers and floral design and the floral industry in general. She was on top of every product and vendor detail, and was passionate about her work and Florists Supply's success. We shared many laughs during work and at dinners after design shows, trips to Cleveland, and at Flowers Canada events. She was always making sure everyone around her was taken care at work and at home with her kind and caring way. She took an interest in everyone's life and how their family was doing. Thank you Gloria for sharing your knowledge, the fun times. and the care you showed me. My sympathies to Kingsley, Glenn & Laura and family, Blair and Mary. You guys were a part of those fond memories with "G" inside and out at Florists Supply. Sending you my love and hugs. Laurie - Posted by: Laurie Nesbitt (Friend and co-worker) on: Apr 14, 2025
