With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Shirley Morneau, who passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 90 at Lions Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg.
Shirley is lovingly remembered by her children: Stephen (Sharon) Burdy, Shelley Burdy-Brothers, Kerry (Areta Donnelly) Burdy, and Colleen (Mark) Coates; her brother Jim (Betty) Gagnon; her grandchildren: Tim (Bless), Kyle (Alex), Jenna (Matthew), Jaquelyne, Sherry (Michael), Adam, Alyssa, and Rebecca; and her great-grandchildren: Brooke, Anakin, Hadley, Maddox, Leighton, Harper, Caine, Griffin, Ethan, Achilles, and Jayden. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Morneau; her sister, Joan Yarema; her brother, Edward Gagnon; and her parents, Joseph and Lillian Gagnon.
A funeral service, officiated by Father Wayne Morrissey, will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. A reception to follow at noon at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.
