Milt passed away peacefully in Winnipeg on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Predeceased by Dot, his loving wife of 56 years, he leaves to treasure his memory, his son Milton (Ellie), daughter Valerie (Paul), grandchildren Ben (Stacie), Joe (Carlann), Mary and Henry, as well as a brother Garry (Lorraine), brother-in-law Ken (Carole) as well as many friends.
Dad grew up in Spy Hill, Saskatchewan on a farm surrounded by many From and Thorpe aunts, uncles and cousins. He was devoted to family, cherishing time spent with kids and grandkids.
In his retirement, he was an active member of the Scandinavian Centre and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Wherever he went, people enjoyed his ever-present humour, his gentle nature and kindness, and his willingness to help out in any way.
Thanks to all who have been part of dad’s life and to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, 5A for their tremendous kindness.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 pm.

Our deepest sympathies to Milton and Ellie, Valerie and Paul and your families. Uncle Milton was such a gentle soul, with a good natured sense of humour. I always enjoyed visiting with your parents.
