BETTY NEILES

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Betty Neiles at Grace Hospital on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the age of 97 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Nellie Binnie, her husband Edward, brothers, Bob and Gordon, and sister Margaret. She is survived by her sister Elsie, brother Allan, her daughter Brenda, son Jim, special niece Elsie (Kurt) and countless nieces and nephews.

Mom had a good life full of joy and laughter. She was always on the go whether it was volunteering at CancerCare or meeting up with friends at the local Tim's for tea. She was kind, funny, generous and open-minded. She loved her home where she'd lived since 1964 and enjoyed wonderful relationships with her many neighbours. She loved sports - the Bombers, Goldeyes and Jets were her teams. She loved music and attending concerts; Folklorama was also an annual favourite. She was a member of the United Church Women at St. James United Church for decades.

Everyone that knew her speaks of her kindness and joyfulness. We were lucky to have had her for so many years.

A memorial service will be held on April 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

Thank you for everything Mom. XO
