ARTHUR GEORGE ANDERSON

Arthur died peacefully in his sleep at Golden Door Geriatric Center, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Arthur George Anderson was born April 15, 1937 in Kingston Jamaica to Thomas and Caroline (Gayle) Anderson. Arthur attended school in Jamaica and worked as a manager at Jamaica Paper Ltd. He married Adeline Marie (Bennett) in 1959 and they had four daughters, Angela, Jacquie, Jeannine, and Sharon. They immigrated to Canada in 1969. Arthur was employed as a millwright with INCO Ltd in Thompson, Manitoba. Marie passed in 1976 from cancer. Arthur met and married Pat Hardy in late 1976 and added two additional girls to the family, PJ and Amber. Arthur retired from INCO after 25 years of service and the family moved to Winnipeg.

Arthur was predeceased by his parents, first wife Adeline Marie, four brothers, Aston Scott (Myrtle), Leonard, Dennis and Oswald Anderson. He is survived by his wife Pat and children, Angela (Dane) Lawrence (Camille, Katherine and Jennifer), Jacquie (Francis) Wilson (Rebecca, Kenan), Jeannine (Wes) Komant (Nairobi, Sterling), Sharon (Etienne, Xavier), Patricia J (PJ), and Amber (Ayanna). He is also survived by his sister Merlin Davis (Leo-deceased) and brothers, Neville (Gloria) and Franklin (Sandy) Anderson and their families including many nephews, nieces and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Door for their compassion, care and service over the last two years.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held Saturday April 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave, a reception will follow.

Flowers graciously declined, if you wish to remember Arthur donations to Canadian Diabetes Society gratefully accepted.
