Kevin, Gary, and I spent many hours together from as young as I can recall until we were in our early 20s. It all started with playing hockey in Baba's basement. All we had to play with were broom sticks and a roll of masking tape. Kevin was there. As we got older, we progressed to actual skates and equipment. We'd clear a patch of ice on the river and play. Warm or brutally cold, it did not matter; we'd play. Kevin was there. When I got older and was able to drive, I'd come down to their place in the city. We'd walk over to the Winakwa rinks where we'd play for hours. Kevin was there. Afterwards, we'd walk over to Burger King and load up on Whoppers. Kevin was there. Kevin and I played organ. We'd have battles on who could play the best hockey game songs. We knew them all. If I were to describe Kevin, he was a person who played with passion. I took a walk down to the river the other day. Hard to believe it's been 30 years since we last played there. Walked by some trees that must be over 100 years old now. Like all things, someday, even these big old trees will fall, and new ones will take their place. Thanks for all the great memories Kevin you will be missed. -Glenn Romaniuk - Posted by: Glenn Romaniuk (Cousin) on: Apr 14, 2025
