EDNA ANDREST

September 4, 1930 – April 16, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Edna Andrest on April 16, 2025

Edna was born and raised in St. Norbert, Manitoba

Edna was predeceased by her parents Henry and Kathleen Gosselin, her husband Joe, her daughter Christine and her brother Georges.

Edna is survived by her son Craig (Darlene), grandchildren, Shawn Andrest, Amber (Regan) Gaida, Jason (Heidi) Antoski, son-in-law Alan Antoski, great-grandchildren, Rhythm and Thunder Gaida and Alisha and Jayden Antoski. Edna is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna was a long-time employee for Loblaws working at various stores throughout Winnipeg. In her retirement years she enjoyed travel and visiting with family and friends. Although Edna came from a small family, she had many cousins and their families she remained close to.

The family would like to thank Edna’s niece, Marcelle Gosselin for taking care of her over the past few years. To all those who visited her and included her in your gatherings, we are so grateful, they say, “It takes a Village” and what a wonderful village we have.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 pm Green Acres Funeral Home (1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, MB)

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission 308 Princess Street, Winnipeg or a charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother. - Posted by: Peter & Cathy Schneider (Family friends) on: Apr 19, 2025

  • My Aunt was a Wonderful, Beautiful, Caring and Loving Woman. She was my favorite Aunty and God Mother, always there for you and others. She took me under her wing and started me in my career as a cashier at Loblaws at 15. My Mother considered her as a sister as to her sister-in-law. We all loved her sooooo much. I will miss our regular phone call talks and reminiscing of the past. She was so lost without Christine but has now been reunited with her and everyone else she had lost. You will Live Love and Laugh once again with them all. Love & Miss you forever Aunty & God Mother, till we meet again 💞😓 - Posted by: Elaine Solarchuk (Niece, God Child) on: Apr 19, 2025
