CAROLE MOSS

Carole passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday, April 19, 2025. She had recently celebrated her 100th Birthday with family and friends.

Carole was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Katherine Rybak; her husband, Peter Moss Sr.; her sisters, Anne (Y.O.) Mascuich and Mary Rybak; her brothers, Maron Rybak; Dr. Stanley (Anne) Rybak and Dr. Edward (Jean) Rybak; her son-in-law, Roger Barnabe; her brother-in-law, Y.O. Mascuich; her nephew, Murray Moss; and her grandson, Darren Barnabe.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Roger) Barnabe, and her son, Peter (Beverley) Moss, Jr.; her grandchildren, Michelle Fidler, Jeannine (Bob) Pistawka, Ryan (Lacey) Moss, Jason Moss and Ashlea Moss; and her 14 great-grandchildren.

Carole was born and raised in Winnipeg and recently said that she would not have wanted to live anywhere else. She attended Faraday School and graduated from Isaac Newton High School. She was active in the family's food brokerage business while she raised her family. Carole was fiercely independent and lived in her home until her death.

Carole and Peter had been active members of St. Paul the Apostle Parish since 1959. Carole was a life member of the CWL.

The family would like to thank Munther Zeid of Food Fare and Ann Miller at CIBC, a friend and confident, for their assistance to Carole which made her independent life possible.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Fr. Darrin Gurr officiating, interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Carole's name to the charity of your choice.
