  • Bruce, I just saw this passage. My Condolences to you, your family & friends, Michele. - Posted by: Michele Smith (Friend from the past) on: Jul 11, 2025

  • Oh Bruce, I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. You both have a special place in my heart. I remember Linda, as such a loving and kind person. She was also outgoing, and I love the times she and I went to fitness in our younger days : ) The laughs we shared as we tried to move our bodies to Jane Fonda!! I will always cherish the memories of you and Linda, coming to our cottage to visit AND bringing the whole meal with you so I didn't need to cook a thing!! Our 4 children loved you both and Linda would make time to play with them and build sandcastles! I will also hold close to my heart the amazing Japanese dinners she would make ... She will be sadly missed, and my heart goes out to you Bruce and to the family. Sending love and strength during this very sad time. - Posted by: Candy Badger (Friend) on: Jun 01, 2025

  • My condolences to both the Koskie and Oye families and friends and family. Linda was a ray of sunshine. I enjoyed her conversations and her laughter, There are several memories I had of her including the following: she was the first Deaf Japanese woman I had met. Linda and my sister Sherry were best of friends and I met her at a very young age. One day, her and Sherry decided they wanted to practice putting makeup on me.. HA.. they did a great job until they put the face mask on. But knowing Deaf time, sometimes delays things, the mask grew hard and they couldn't take it off. I was tearing up, Linda was roaring with laughter as well as my sister and tearing up too and sympathetic, but her and Sherry tried to remove it with warm water, Finally it came off, what a relief. The next was her teaching us the "Tanko Bushi:( first Japanese word) Shovel dance at her wedding to Bruce. Linda love dancing and it was a beautiful site to see. I always enjoyed her conversations. In later years, I met her and Bruce mostly in other countries , Tukey, South Africa, etc as I was working there and they often would travel. Linda was so ecstatic when her and Bruce went to Japan. She loved it. She will be missed. biggest hugs to you all. love Ava Hawkins - Posted by: Ava Hawkins (family friend) on: Jun 01, 2025

  • My sincere condolences to Bruce. I had the pleasure of knowing both Linda and Bruce for several years as they attended fitness classes with me. Linda was my hero. No matter what challenge life threw at her, she not only persevered, she conquered each challenge with class, good will, humour and a willing, lovely smile. Her tenacity shone like a beacon for anyone who had the opportunity to know her if even for a minute. She enriched my life! - Posted by: Catherine Patricia Gagnon (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2025

  • Dear Bruce, Linda was a fabulous fitness student and a vivacious joyful woman. I feel blessed that our paths crossed. Sending you and her family my warmest hugs, Kat PS One of my students from PanAm spotted Linda's obituary and sent it to me with a note saying "She was our lovely friend from when we worked out at Pan Am. I remember her as such a friendly person who worked to connect with everyone" I think it is a mark of what a fabulous woman Linda was that someone who hasn't seem her in 10 years recognized the notice and took the time to write. - Posted by: Kat Rother (Fitness Instructor) on: Apr 26, 2025
