It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margarida Melo Dacamara, who died peacefully with family by her side, in Winnipeg on April 21, 2025, at the age of 79 years old.
Margarida (married 52 years) was predeceased by her husband John in 2021, her mother Jorgina and father Augusto. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her son John, daughters, Carmel and Ellen (Marshall). Margarida was born on May 22, 1945, in Ribeira Grande, Azores, Portugal where she lived until she was 24 years old.
Margarida was a devout Roman Catholic in which religion and faith were very important in her life.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N., with condolences beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, the burial will take place at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Father Maurice Comeault officiating.
