JEFFREY JOHN FLORESCO

September 24, 1985 - April 13, 2025

Jeffrey John Floresco, a beloved and cherished son, brother, father, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend, left us on April 13, 2025, at the age of 39.

Born on September 24, 1985, Jeffrey grew up with a zest for life that was as vast as the Canadian Prairies, growing up in Portage La Prairie, MacGregor, Lorette and Brandon. At the time of his passing, he was living in Brandon, Manitoba, where he continued to touch the lives around him.

Jeffrey was a man of simple joys and profound love. His life was a tapestry woven with threads of family, friendships, and a passion for sports. From his early years, he was a passionate baseball player spending countless hours on the fields with his friends. The camaraderie and spirit of the game stayed with him throughout his life. He also enjoyed a great game of playing golf with family and friends, especially his Gramma & Grampa, PJ and Lucille Graves or devouring potato pancakes at his Nanny & Gigi’s home, Marie and Roman Floresco.

Jeff’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Brooklyn, Carter, Grayson, Dylan and Ryan, each bringing a light to his life that he held dear to his heart. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be treasured by his family.

Jeff was in the midst of a new chapter, attending ACC Community College to further his education. This pursuit was a highlight in his life, a testament to his belief in Personal growth and the value of lifelong learning, proving it’s never too late to chase your dreams.

Those who knew Jeff will remember him as a great friend; a man whose generosity knew no bounds. He was someone who offered a helping hand or a listening ear, a testament to his loving and accepting nature. An animal lover at heart, Jeffrey had a special place for all creatures, great and small.

Jeff leaves behind a large blended loving family who will continue to honor his memory: his parents; Mario & Terrilyn Floresco, Debra & Ralph Hargreaves, his siblings, Chris (Tanya) Floresco, Shawna McGill Legault (Stephane), Leanne (Mark) Chartrand, Jodi (Troy) Bickerton, Glen (Ashley) Hurl. As well as numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. His Legacy lives on through his children, Brooklyn (Brayden), Carter, Grayson, Dylan, and Ryan, who will carry forward his spirit and love.

In the words of those who loved him, Jeffery was a beacon of kindness and joy. And though he may have left this world, his spirit will forever remain big in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

A funeral service will take place at a later date.

  • Rest Easy My Friend Jeff 🥺😢😭💔 I might not have known you very long! I still had that opportunity to know you and get to know you. We had taken a psychology course together at Assiniboine College last semester in September. I felt like I’ve known you longer then what I did and I think it was because we worked together in our very first Skit together and because the type of guy you were VERY OPEN AND KIND HEARTED DOWN TO EARTH GENTLEMAN! My favourite part was doing the psychoanalysis skit together. I loved working with you and another classmate for our skit. This is where we had some fun lol. I loved on presentation day you dressed up because you were the therapist Dr Fred Floyd. I still have our graded rubric for this and we all did so well. I will never forget all our classmates discussions and our field trip we had together in our course. I will always remember what our teacher always would say “Thank you for sharing with us Jeff” I just would like to say you were a very open minded and hearted type of guy. I loved how highly you talked about each and everyone of your children!!! I still remember when you said you had 5 children and I have 6 children myself and a stepson and when we would come to class every single week and have our classroom discussions we could relate on some of the same things as we both had older children and both had younger children. I will be thinking of you on graduation day as you were currently enrolled this school year. I know as a class it was difficult to finish our course without you finishing with us. REST EASY JEFF. 🥹😞😭💔 - Posted by: Tasha Scheepbouwer (Friend) on: May 06, 2025

  • I knew Jeff for many Years. Most recently we were in Psychology Class together at ACC. It was here, where I seen a man with a new zest for life that I hadn't seen in a long time. He was so proud and really took this class seriously. He loved telling us about his Children, life and the things he had overcome. Anyone that knew Jeff knows he was so kind and had the most beautiful eyes, and contagious smile. Rest easy my friend, you are missed by so many. - Posted by: Erin Hennessy (Friend) on: May 06, 2025
