LINDA SIMARD
With sadness in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Simard in the early hours of the morning on May 3, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband, Billy, son Dave (Carol), granddaughters, Alysa (Justin) and Rebecca (Colby), great-grandchildren, Dominik and Autumn, father Floyd, sister Wendy (Dean), brother Terry (Joyce), and two granddoggies, Shiloh and Winstyn, among many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret and brother, Danny.
Linda was born in Rivers, Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg and later residing in Selkirk and Victoria Beach. She continued her education at Red River College where she met her husband, Billy aka Hoppy and pursued a career at Selkirk Community Library. Linda loved to spend time at their cabin either at the beach on the finest sand dune, up on her balcony or sitting on the veranda. Her love of reading, listening to music and watching her evening TV shows was admirable. Her fondest moments were spent with her family. She took great pride in her roles as a mother and wife but especially as a grandma and most recently great-grandma.
Not to be surprised, she had some final words written long ago: "Okie-doke. I'm done with this life. I hope there is a heaven or otherwise I'm in deep, deep trouble lol. Please remember me with love and laughter because that is the life I lived. The rest of this is up to you Hoppy"

Bill my condolences to you and your family. I remember fondly the times you and Ronnie would play guitars at the house. - Posted by: Shelley Smith (Acquaintance from long ago) on: May 13, 2025
