LEEANN EYSSENS

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of LeeAnn Eyssens (nee Boyko), at 2:30 a.m. on May 10, 2025, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. With her family at her side at the age of 77 years old, she will be missed as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and good friend.

Made in England, born in Winnipeg, LeeAnn spent her working career in various fields from waitress to librarian, from lab tech to small business owner, and ending as a Finance manager for many independent car dealerships. After marrying Henry, she retired from the industry to become a woman of leisure, enjoying the RV lifestyle and travelling extensively through Canada and the United States. When not on the road, she would spend hours sewing and embroidering clothes and accessories or golfing with friends.

LeeAnn is survived by her loving husband Henry, son James, son Trevor (Dianne), daughter Tammie (Andrew), son Leigh (Cyndi), daughter Lynne (Donny), and sister Kim (Ron), plus many nieces and nephews as well as many grandchildren. LeeAnn is preceded in death by her father Peter, mother Bettie, and daughter Valerie.

A special thank you to the staff of Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their compassionate assistance in her final hours. Her memorial will take place at Gilbart Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be graciously welcome.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • We got to know LeeAnn several years ago on our daily walks to the park where she was often walking with her dogs. Casual chit-chat led to us becoming friends— and the fact that our yard bordered their yard made us neighbourhood allies as well. Whether it was coyote activity, ATV complaints, whispery gossip, or even the occasional book swap—we grew to enjoy LeeAnn’s bubbly, quirky kindness, including the kitchen decor she was kind enough to make for us (that we will continue to cherish and display)… We always knew when Henry and LeeAnn were home because their RV was bigger than their house. And when the RV was leaving, and we heard the honk, we knew to keep a quiet watch on their home from our back acre… Our condolences to Henry and LeeAnn’s family. If there is anything we can help with in the future, Henry, please don’t hesitate to ask. Take care… - Posted by: James (Tanya, Stephanie) Cheetham (Friend and Neighbour) on: May 17, 2025
