DONNA AUDREY LOCHHEAD

June 17, 1940 – February 13, 2025

Donna Audrey Lochhead, born June 17, 1940, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, with family by her side.

She is survived by son Ron (Lynn) and grandson Logan; daughter Wendy (Shane) granddaughter Kaitlyn (Braden) great granddaughter Brooklyn, grandson Kyle (Quiana) great grandson (Adonis) and grandson Robyn. Donna is also survived by her sisters Evelyn, Dorothy (Gene), her brother Ken (Carol) and youngest sister Linda (Eric) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 2007 and brother-in-law Al.

Mom was very proud of obtaining her RPN and spent many years at the BMHC, where she obtained the position of supervisor. After some time away, she returned to work as an RPN, where she earned a year’s worth of sick leave but never used it.

Some of mom’s favorite hobbies were gardening, reading and volunteering. Gardening for her was a stress reliever. She would swear at the weeds as she was pulling them.

There were not many organizations that she didn’t volunteer for. Some of her favorites were Heart and Stroke, Lung Association, Cancer Care and the Kidney Foundation as well as many others.

A private service was held for immediate family. As per Donna’s wishes a short casual service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers (because mom always considered them a waste of money), donations in memory of Donna may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon MB R7A 7M6.
