We are saddened to announce the passing of Winnie Johnson, at Rosewood Lodge, on May 21, 2025, aged 96 years, formerly of Oak Point, MB.

A kind and intelligent woman with strong ties to her Icelandic heritage. She helped my wife and I make connections to relatives in Iceland which made our trip very enjoyable. She made a point of letting me know my pronunciation of Icelandic names needed work! We always looked forward to their family visiting Piney. We are very saddened by the news of Winnie's passing but we are relieved that her difficult journey of the last 6 years has come to an end. May God bless here and accept her into his arms. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Johnson family.
