Celebrate the life of Helen with us today at Glen Eden Funeral Home. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. A small reception will follow where family and friends can remember Helen’s wonderful 96 years.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Concordia Hospital Foundation or John Black Church.

HELEN ROUSE
Helen was born in Point Douglas to Dymtro and Dora Babiniec, the only surviving daughter with five older brothers. Prior to her birth one sister and one brother passed away in infancy. The family moved to the community of Transcona where Helen attended Central School. After graduation she attended Success Business College, then worked at as a secretary for Merchants Consolidated. Helen retired from being a Library Assistant at John De Graff School, where she had worked for many years.
Helen met her husband, Allen Rouse while he played soccer with her brother Nestor. They were happily married for 62 years until Allen’s passing in 2017.
Like her husband, Helen cherished community work which included the Kiwanis Club Ladies Auxiliary, Concordia Hospital Foundation, Share Christmas, Legion Branch 215, and John Black Church.
Her favourite past times were golfing, bowling, and most of all, travelling. She did these regularly with her husband Allen.
Helen is survived by her beloved daughter, Allyson Mueller, and grandchildren, William, Joshua (Jenelle), Mercedes (Patrick) and Jonathon. Alongside the immediate family she will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Brenda and Dennis (Carissa, Kevin) as well as David and Louise in Winnipeg. Mark in California and Judy, Marlene, Diane in Lethbridge and Lorraine and Greg in Red Deer.

Funeral held on May 31, 2025, at Glen Eden Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
