With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of our dear sister, Evelyn Joyce Suzuki, on May 12, 2025, at the age of 64.
She was predeceased by our mom, Ryoko (2010), and dad, Toru (2012). Evelyn was the youngest of three and leaves behind her siblings Kathleen Puznicki (Wayne) and Edward Suzuki (Joelle), her nieces Avery and Jessica, nephew Jayden, and a big extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, and many close friends.
We’ll be celebrating Evelyn’s life on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Tonari Gumi, 42 W 8th Avenue #101, Vancouver, BC, starting at 6:00 p.m. To view the service online please see the chapel lawn website to obtain the link.

Good bye Evelyn: You were a good friend of mine since forever. Always great to catch up with you at the Japanese Festival or over coffee in Kits, a chance for you to practice Italian and me to learn more about Japanese presence and culture in Vancouver. We were heartbroken to hear of Evelyn's sudden passing. We enjoyed our visits with her whether in vancouver or winnipeg . I just found out this very sad news about the passing of our dear sister Evelyn :( My heart and prayers go out to her family and my sincerest condolences are with you all. An angel we know now.....May God bless her and keep her lively and spunky and she echos my office with her infectious laugh.
