ELFRIEDE PIEL
Mercifully and peacefully on Sunday May 25, 2025, Elfriede Piel was welcomed into Heaven at the age of 87 years, to rejoin her husband, Reinhard Piel, who predeceased her in 2017.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 2405 McGillivray Blvd.
Please consider making a donation to Meadowood Manor Foundation, 102 – 575 St. Anne’s Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 5B2. Donations may be made by cheque or through the Foundation’s website: meadowoodmanorfoundation.org. All donations received will be designated to the Foundation’s Special Projects Fund to make the care, comfort and conditions of those who live at Meadowood Manor better.

So sad to hear about Friede passing: it was great seeing her on Mother's Day a week earlier, and she was in fine spirits then! Lots of fond memories of my virtual second mother as we grew up right next door and she was definitely a second mother to me. Glad she can join Reinhard in Heaven, and maybe even find Helene and Ewald to get a duplex in the sky.
