I have just "attended" Vic's service online. My sympathy to you as a family, especially to Linda and Reg. Both Vic and Reg were very involved with the production of the 'Wort des Lebens' broadcast I hosted for 25 years. To all of you: "God sends his love and his faithfulness." Psalm 57:3. .... I want to offer my sincere condolences to Linda and all of Victor’s family. Linda, it was evident to me that you and Victor were a good team. I know you will all individually feel his absence differently because of the special relationship he had with each one of you. It was my pleasure to have been his barber/hairstylist since the early eighties until 2023 when it became more difficult for him to get to the salon. God bless you all for your love and care towards him in accompanying him in those times. Always a well dressed man, so with his hair. He came in at least every 4-6 weeks to have it cut. I very much enjoyed cutting his hair because he had a beautiful thick head of wavy hair which never seemed to thin out. We had many very interesting conversations about so many different topics over the years. He loved to speak about language and its historical origins and history in general. We spoke about the Scriptures and had discussions about various passages. Some of our doctrinal beliefs were different but that never got in the way of a good discussion, and it was never with any animosity on either side. He always spoke very lovingly of his family to me. When I would ask how family was, he would have something positive to say about each one of you. He especially loved to tell of some humorous things one of you grandchildren had said or done and he always spoke proudly of your achievements. Over the years I began to know you through his sharing your lives with me. He was always a gentle man, articulate and we had many good laughs because of his sense of humour which I very much appreciated. I used to listen to his soothing voice on the weekly radio program he hosted many years ago. It was kind of neat to know the voice on the radio personally, and I enjoyed the beautiful choral arrangements. Our Heavenly Father is always pleased when his children try to emulate a Christ-like character and I believe Victor always tried to live his faith. I miss him now, not only as a long time client but a friend.
