Nancy inspired Authenticity and honesty in me as a youth. Meeting her as an adult, I was moved by her tenacity and Optimistic perspective. May her spirit continue to inspire us all as we grieve her loss and remember the great times we shared with her. - Posted by: Monica Bailey (Friend) on: Jun 27, 2025

I met Nancy when I began attending the Unitarian Church in Winnipeg where her husband was the Minister. I also met my husband-to-be, Brent Stearns, there and both Nancy and John attended our wedding. Throughout the time that I knew her, she was always cheerful, even through some rough times during which she behaved with grace and courage. We met again shortly after her son Bart's death, and for the first time, her composure was shattered. I don't know if she ever recovered (if one does) from that loss, it was so painful to see. She was such a lovely person. - Posted by: Lily Stearns (friend) on: Jun 21, 2025
