YADWIGA NADIA DYCK

March 10, 1933 - June 12, 2025

Yadwiga Nadia Dyck, age 92, of Steinbach, MB., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Rest Haven Care Home, Steinbach, MB.

She is survived by her son Jack (Don), and three daughters Olga (Paul), Linda (Den), and Maryann (Marc). She will be greatly missed by her children and her grandchildren Melissa (William), Gordon (Beckie), Ryan (Sara), Jenna Bailey (Stefan), Brooklyn (Nike), Brandon, Ashlynn (Bailey) and her great-grandchildren Dartanion, Jacob, Evelyn, Scotlyn and Paisley.

She is also survived by her three sisters Helen, Anna and Mary, and her two brothers Alec and John.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Jacob and her parents Stefan and Olga and her brother Kenny.

Mom was a member of Calvary Temple in Winnipeg. Her faith was important to her and she remained strong in her faith to the end.

Mom was a seamstress and was known for her beautiful outfits as well as her blankets which she donated to CancerCare, MCC, Northern communities, family, friends and home care workers who took care of her. She retired from Peerless Garments after many years of service.

Mom loved gardening and puzzling. We would often find her puzzling with her friends at Resthaven.

Our family would like to acknowledge the nurses and staff at Resthaven for their kindness and gentleness with mom and us during her final moments. They all had good memories to share with us of their time with mom.

The funeral service will be held on Monday June 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior. Interment to follow at the Grunthal Cemetery, Grunthal, MB.

Donations in memory of Nadia may be made to support Ukraine refugees through MCC Ukrainian Crisis Response.
