• Eleanor and I first met when we worked together at Middlechurch Home in the early 70’s. Many years later, we worked together at the Manitoba Youth Center. Eleanor was a wonderful nurse and a lovely person. She deeply loved her two kids and her grandchildren quickly became her life. • To the family…I just learned of Eleanor’s passing and I am very saddened to have missed her service. I met Eleanor at the MB Youth Centre in 1989 where we quickly became friends and remained so since then. Whether meeting in person or speaking by phone, we always enjoyed our conversations. Eleanor was always interested in what I had to say and enjoyed to tease and making me laugh. And it is these memories that will always remain. Rest in peace, Eleanor. • I met Eleanor and Wendall Toews when they did a presentation for Love Lives Here, a Christian drop in centre for people living in Winnipeg’s core area. I went there to support their work. Eleanor was always encouraging others. Her mobility issues later made it impossible for her to continue coming. Her dedication will always be remembered.
