MELVYN WILLIS

February 11, 1937 - June 16, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Melvyn (Mel) Willis, aged 88, on Monday, 16 June 2025.

He was a devoted husband, a loving father and “Gran”, and a loyal friend to many.

Mel is predeceased by his beloved wife, May. He is lovingly remembered by his children - Andy (Tina), Claire, Tim, and Amanda (Andrew) - as well as his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Mel’s name to your local Royal Canadian Legion - an organization close to his heart.

Dad, we love you, we miss you, and we hope you’re playing your best round of golf up there.

  • I remember Mel and May and the Willis family since I was a young lad. My dad, Harry was good friends with Mel, spending countless hours at the Charleswood legion and on the golf course at 17 Wing. As ex pat brits, they always had a large group of British friends around, supporting one another as they got older and seeing each other's families grow. Rest easy Mel. You were a great man and will be missed. - Posted by: Tony Carr (Son of Mel's friend, Harry Carr) on: Jun 28, 2025
