Peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, at East Gate Lodge, Florence, age 98 passed away with family at her side.
Florence leaves to mourn her passing her children Rick, Janet (Ross) and Karen; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings Vera, Lilly, Doris and Norman and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Charlie, her sons Melvin, Donnie and Brian, as well as her son-in-law Ernie. She is also predeceased by her sisters Gert and Irene.
Florence was born in St. Agathe and married Charlie in 1947. They moved to Thalberg where they raised their family and continued to farm until Charlie’s passing in 2002. A few years later mom moved to Beausejour.
Many thanks to the staff at Stoney Plains and Eastgate Lodge for all the care and compassion they showed towards Mom over the years.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave., Beausejour, with interment to follow in the Beausejour cemetery.
In lieu of flower, donations in Florence’s memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
