EDWARD (ED) CRUST
It is with profound sadness, we share the news that Ed passed away one month after suffering a sudden and unexpected medical episode at his home on May 31, 2025.
Ed was predeceased by his dear wife Elsie in 2014, after 55 wonderful years together, and parents, Walter and Josephine Chruszcz in 1955 and 1986.
He will be deeply missed by his sister Adele Ward (Gib) and special nephew and niece, Greg Ward (Joanne) and Sharon Greene, along with the many extended family members and friends of both Ed and Elsie.
He was employed by CancerCare Manitoba as a machinist, making various special medical appliances for patients. He continued his passion for machining well into retirement by making everything from specialized nuts and bolts to manufacturing and displaying miniature working steam engines and other miniature motorized items. Ed also became a member of a local gun club and was quick to brag about how quickly he had become a sharp-shooter.
In compliance with Ed's wishes, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place.
