With great sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Rangachari Venkataraman. He will be cherished in the memories of his beloved wife of 67 years, Vydehi, his daughter Indu, son-in-law Vasu, grandchildren, Vinaya Bhatia (Ankush) and Raghav Vasudevan (Ashley) and great-grandsons, Govind and Kabir Bhatia and a world of friends and relatives.
Dr. Venkataraman was a professor of mathematics at the University of Manitoba for nearly 30 years, and active in many cultural, religious and service organizations. A gifted teacher, musician, writer and linguist, he also performed priestly functions for the Hindu community. He lived by the principle, “Love All, Serve All.”
Viewing will be held Thursday, July 17, at 9:00 a.m., followed by service at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson “In the Park” on McGillivray Blvd.

He was my guru I learned everything that I know from him. He has served the community and everyone who came in contact with him. He is watching us we have to follow his teachings. Myself and Kalyani pass our deep condolences to Vydehi Indu and family. I hope the government of Manitoba recognizes his selfless services and grant him the order of Manitoba.
