MARTIN JAMES WILLIAMS

October 15, 1957 - May 27, 2025

Martin passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2025.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Terry Williams. He is survived by his brothers, Michael (Pat), Stephen (Rob) and Kevin (Kyle).

Martin was a complicated man; he was very smart, talented, funny, thoughtful, and caring, but also could be self-absorbed and cantankerous. That was Martin. He was a lover of books, comic books, the theatre, movies, Star Trek, family, and cats. He was a loyal friend, and made many friends during his years of acting, working in the theatre and for IATSE, and in the last few years, in his apartment block on Stradbrook.

Martin’s life was full of challenges, and he experienced significant health issues and personal losses in these past few years. He was especially saddened to lose his friend Smitty, his beloved cat Skritchy, and our father.

Flowers are gratefully declined, but donations in Martin’s name to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter or any theatre in Manitoba would be appreciated.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
