WILLIAM ALAN
William (Bill) Alan Hall was born on March 29, 1937. He was the 12th of 13 children born to Gilbert and Mary Hall of Virden.
Bill spent his early years as a child helping on his family’s farm. In his early 20’s Bill started working for Paul Albrechtsen, hauling water in Virden.
In December of 1959, Bill married Edith Gertz and they moved to Winnipeg where he continued to work for Paul's Hauling. Bill and Edith went on to have 5 children - Brian, Dale, Warren, Grant, and Lori.
The family moved to Brandon in 1964, and in the mid 1980's Bill became manager of the Brandon branch of Paul’s Hauling. By the time he retired, Bill had worked for Paul’s Hauling for a total of 55 years.
Bill met Helen in 1991 and they were married in April of 1992. Along with Helen came two daughters, Deborah and Barbara.
What started as two people falling in love turned into 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. There weren’t any labels such as step or in-laws, everyone was part of the Hall family.
Bill passed away suddenly in his home on July 19, 2025.
He was pre-deceased by his son Warren in 2006, son Dale 2022 and great-granddaughter Aria in 2024.
A graveside funeral service was held at Rosewood Memorial Garden Cemetery on July 24, 2025.
