DOLORES ANNE SIMPSON

March 22, 1949 - July 19, 2025

Dolores Anne Simpson, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Selkirk Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Dolores lived a bold and active life as a swimmer, cyclist, rollerblader, and curler who proudly competed in the Special Olympics. A devoted Bombers and Jets fan, she never missed a game. She loved horror movies, polka music, and dancing.

She is survived by her siblings, Linda Simpson (Patty), Bruce Dahl (Joanne), Judy Shirlaw (Tina), Sandy Wiesner, David Wiesner, Shirley Morrision, Bill Halgason (Loraine), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to CancerCare Selkirk and CancerCare Manitoba for their exceptional care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private gatherings will be held in her honour.

She will be deeply missed.

  • Dolores was a sweet caring person. She had many interests; sports, animals. She loved animals and was always concerned about their well being. She would hug and talk to Chloe (my sister's Black Standard Poodle) they both would Enjoy sitting together. She would also make me laugh so hard, my stomach would hurt. She will be missed! ❤️ - Posted by: Pam & Roland (Friend) on: Jul 27, 2025
