EVELYN JANET CLARK
With heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of Evelyn Clark at age 83.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Glenn Clark, son Grant Clark (Susannah), grandson Brayden Clark, daughter Glenda Clark, sister Beverly Turczyn (Alex), nephew David Turczyn, niece Christine Thiessen and family (Chris, Hunter, and Isla).
Mom was born on December 24, 1941, in Kamsack, SK. She spent her first 12 years on the family farm. Her horse Dolly would take her to her one room schoolhouse at St. Bascillian. In 1953, her family moved to Kamsack where she graduated from Kamsack Collegiate Institute in 1960 and met the love of her life Glenn.
In 1963, Glenn and Evelyn were married and started their 62 year adventure together. Grant was born in Fort Churchill, MB in 1965 and Glenda in Brandon in 1974 (a surprise, not an accident).
Mom was a beautiful soul who would be best described as genuine, kind, generous, and truly selfless. For many years she dedicated her life to her family so that they could be successful in their endeavours. She was Grant and Glenda’s biggest fans through all their sporting achievements. She never missed a game including her grandson Brayden’s.
Mom enjoyed travelling and over the years took many family vacations filled with adventure, great food, so much laughter, and of course wine. Mom enjoyed gardening, entertaining and playing cards but her true passion was curling. She played for years in Brandon and Winnipeg, often three times a week. Words will never express how much Mom will be missed in our lives but we know that she would want us to carry on and be those ‘rocks’ for one another.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (4588 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg) on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. For those unable to attend, mass will also be live streamed on Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish You Tube Channel. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care received from the community palliative team as well as the 3E team at Riverview Health Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare.
