It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad Pierre, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Saint Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 88 years.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, Felix Pelletier and Leontine Pelletier (nee Fisette); siblings, Gérard, Roland, Ida, Adélard, Aurore, Helene, and Marcel; as well as numerous in-laws.
Dad will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by the love of his life, his wife Joan over 63 years; his children and their families: his daughter Jo-Anne, children, Cory (Rayah), Jordan (Cassandra), Angelique (Luke), and grandchildren, William, James, Sophia, Theodore, and Lorette; his daughter Jacqueline, her children, Amanda, Garett (Brenlee), and her grandchildren, Gunner, Jaxon, and Payton; and his son Daniel (Monique) and their son Hunter.
He will also be missed by his siblings, Josephine, Irene (Donat), Paul (Linda), Denise (Guy), and Denis (Pat); his in-laws, Yolande, Yvonne, Marcelline; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Dad was raised in La Broquerie where he learned about hard work at a young age. As a teen he helped his brother Roland delivering cheese. Dad then went to Northwest Ontario and cut trees in the bush. He then returned to Winnipeg and met the love of his life Joan. They were married in 1961. Pierre worked in construction as an Ironworker/Welder. Later they settled in Windsor Park to raise their family until his passing. Dad loved travelling, cards, family, camping, and tinkering in his garage.
We would like to thank Winnipeg Paramedics and Fire Department, and the doctors and nurses at Saint Boniface Emergency for their kindness, empathy, and compassion.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette’s Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

It is with great sadness to hear that we lost another family member almost a year after his brother Adelard. They were working partners when they were younger in the bushes of Ontario. Joan and family, our deepest sympathy and prayers. From Yvonne and family, Kelowna - Posted by: Yvonne & Family (Sister-in-law) on: Aug 07, 2025
