Phyllis Warnick passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at her home at Hillcrest Personal Care.
Born on December 13, 1931, in Brandon, Manitoba, Phyllis grew up and attended school in the North End. She married Bill Sr. at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church on June 14, 1952. Phyllis dedicated her working career at the Maple Leaf processing plant, and then as a clerk at the Brandon Clinic. In her spare time, she was a member of the St. Hedwig’s Catholic Women’s League. She was an avid bowler and gardener as well.
Phyllis is reunited with her late husband Bill, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Bill (Deborah) Warnick and daughter Janet (the late Terry) Law; grandchildren, Bill Jr. (Debra), Jeremy (Treena), Alana (Marla), Tara (Lonnie), Kerri (Dave) and Cristy (Jay); 10 great-grandchildren as well as sister, Bernice Shurb.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.

May God rest the soul of Phyllis. I sat at her table many times while I was pastor at St. Augustine's Parish. She also brought me many, many vegetables from her garden. A faithful member of St. Hedwig's and later St. Augustine's, she will be remembered by many. I will remember her at the altar.
