It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Ross Benedict, age 92.
He is survived by his daughter Rennie and son-in-law Roman, brothers-in-law and their spouses, Guy (Judy), Neil (Carol), James (Ursula) and many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his father Norman, mother Helen, beloved wife June, daughter Deirdre and sister Joan.
Jack’s legacy was one of love, kindness, and friendship. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his generous heart, and how he enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. To know Jack was to love Jack.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Oakview Place for the exceptional care they provided to Jack during his residency.
Jack’s life will be celebrated privately by his immediate family. We thank you for your love and kindness as we adjust to life without Jack.
Donations in memory of Jack can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or United Way Winnipeg.
