It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giselle Irene Marie Roy on September 2, 2025, at St. Boniface Hospital, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Giselle was born in Winnipeg on April 21, 1954. She spent 27 years in Calgary before returning home. Family was at the heart of her life, and she had a special bond with her beloved dog, Holly, who brought her comfort and joy.
She was predeceased by her husband, Barry Grabish (2020). She leaves to mourn her sister and best friend Cecile (Lionel) Paquette; sister-in-law Marie Roy (Rene); grandchildren Austin Grabish (Terrell) and Jasmine Grabish (Macjan Lacara); and great-grandson Maverick Grabish-Lacara. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
She was blessed with incredible neighbors, Chris and Sharon Dubeck, who supported her throughout her illness.
Cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
