DAWABEY (BEA) FOX

It saddens us to have to announce the loss of a pillar to our family. Bea (Dawabey Ali Houssian) Fox, wife of 73 years to Sidney Fox of Brandon Manitoba, who passed away on September 14, 2025. Mom had just celebrated her 95th birthday.

Born in Brandon August 19, 1930, to immigrant parents Alec (deceased) and Dawabey Houssian (deceased). After the passing of her mother, my mom and her brothers returned to Lebanon to be with the extended family while her dad stayed in Canada to build a business and home for them.

She was a friend to many and will be fondly remembered for being there for those in need. Formerly a resident of their farm in Roseland, they moved to Brandon and then temporarily to Airdrie, Alberta. They later returned to their home in Brandon where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years Sid, Son Bill and his family, Donna and her family, Alec (Mavis) and family and Reema (Dave) and family. She is also survived by many relatives around the world but her biggest pride was in her 28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Badr, and 5 brothers.

Funeral services will be through the Brandon Islamic centre and Memories Funeral Chapel Tuesday September 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Brandon Cemetery.

We ask for those wishing to show their condolences to donate to the MS Society, Brandon Islamic Centre or charity of your choice.
